Miami FC News Release
Miami FC faced off against Detroit City FC in a tightly contested match on Saturday night, which resulted in a 0-0 draw.
Despite both teams having opportunities to score, Miami FC's defense put up a strong effort throughout the game. Chapman-Page made a notable effort by breaking up play from Detroit's attack in the first few minutes of the game. Miami FC had a good chance on goal in the 17th minute from a ball in by Rivas, but the score remained 0-0.
In the second half, Miami FC continued to push for a goal, with Chapman-Page having a close opportunity in the 48th minute, but Detroit City FC's goalkeeper made a big save. Miami FC had a great attack at the 77th minute but was still unable to find the back of the net. The game ended in a hard-fought 0-0 draw, with Miami FC securing one point at home.
Following the game, Miami FC Coach Anthony Pulis gave his thoughts on the team's performance, saying, "It was a tight game tonight between the two teams battling out. The players gave everything and I don't think we can fault that, it's quite clear where we need to continue to work."
While the team was unable to score a goal, Miami FC goalkeeper Adrian Zendejas was able to keep a clean sheet. Speaking about the team's performance and his clean sheet, Zendejas said, "I feel like the team performed really well, obviously we're missing the final piece of getting the goals. But with that, the clean sheet, it's going to help us, me, the defenders, and goes all the way to the forwards, it's going to build momentum."
Miami FC's next game will be at home against Las Vegas Lights FC on Sunday, April 23rd at 4:00 PM, with tickets available for purchase at Miamic.com. While the team was unable to secure a win in their previous match, their strong defensive effort and continued determination to score a goal shows promise for their upcoming games.
