
Mexican Soccer Legend Omar Bravo to Play in Madison

Mexican soccer legend Omar Bravo will play in Forward Madison FC's international exhibition game against Leones Negros UdeG on Tuesday, July 16 at 7 p.m at Breese Stevens Field, FMFC announced Wednesday. Bravo, who is currently training with Leones Negros to be a coach, is the all-time leading scorer for Chivas de Guadalajara, one of Mexico's most popular soccer teams.
Bravo's appearance in Madison comes as part of Leones Negros' 45th anniversary celebration, for which the team has made its first-ever trip to Wisconsin. Bravo scored 132 goals during his years at Chivas, scored twice in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and won two CONCACAF Gold Cups during his decorated career.
