BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, March 13, 2007 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee today imposed a three-game suspension as well as a $500 fine to Drakkar defenseman Mathew Ménard. The disciplinary measures are a result of the incident that occurred after the Drakkar versus Remparts game last Friday in which Ménard confronted an opposing player.

The decision was rendered following an investigation into the incident and after consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.

In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
