On Tuesday, the NECBL announced the 2011 NECBL Eastern and Western Division All Stars and seven Westerners were bestowed the honor of wearing the Black and Silver in next week's annual All Star event at Fraser Field in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Andrew Garner, Tyler Horan, Tanner Krietemeier, Dane Opel and two-time league all-star and NECBL all-star Dave Ciocchi have been terrorizing NECBL pitching all season, and Nick Williams and Jimmy Reed have showed great poise and determination in helping the Westerners achieve an impressive 20-12 record.
To commemorate the 2011 Westerner All Stars, we are announcing a prize drawing to give away one of the following: a game used 2011 team signed baseball bat, a 2011 All Star signed baseball, a 2011 team signed baseball, and a 2011 Westerners highlight DVD with game & player pictures and recaps.
Just go to the Westerners website and click on one of the All Star Headline News articles. There you will find a special form that can be filled-out and delivered to the ticket table at any upcoming Westerners game. On Sunday July 31 the winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded.

With only five home games remaining in the 2011 NECBL regular season, the Western Division is tied-up in knots with three teams fighting for the title. Each day the top teams Danbury, Holyoke and Keene bounce between first and third position. The coming week will be a fight to the finish to see who can take top honors.
