Vantaa, FIN - Gavin McKenna (Whitehorse, YT) lead the way for Team Canada in their opening game of the preliminary round at the World U18 Tournament in Finland Thursday afternoon with a 6-3 victory over Sweden.
The Tigers Co-MVP & Rookie of the Year had two goals in the first period including the eventual game winner on the power play, all in part of a four-goal first period.
His performance earned him Player of the Game honours. Team Canada will get right back to action Friday morning, you can watch the game on TSN 4 starting at 10 AM / MT.
