
McKeesport's Sutton to attend Xplosion camp

PITTSBURGH - McKeesport, Pa. native James Sutton will be among those in attendance when the Pittsburgh Xplosion open its Free Agent Camp on Monday, October 23.
A member of the Xplosion during the team's inaugural season in 2005-06, Sutton provided size off the bench by averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He notched a career-high against the Cleveland Rockers on December 15 by registering a double-double with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
A product of the Community College of Beaver County, Sutton led the perennial junior college powerhouse to the number one ranking in the NJCAA Division II poll during the 2002-03 season. He averaged nine rebounds and four blocks per game as the Titans went on to win the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference championship and the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association state championship that season.
The Xplosion will hold its Free Agent Camp starting on Monday, October 23 at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa. Eight players will be invited to the team's Veteran's Training Camp on November 14. The Pittsburgh Xplosion begin their inaugural season in the Continental Basketball Association on December 1 at Albany.
