Maywood Buzz shut down Ventura Jets

Porter Ranch, CA - The Maywood Buzz who finished the 2007-2008 ABA season 4-27, got a nice start today in their debut game in the West Coast Pro Basketball League. The Buzz who was lead by Ramel "Rock" Lloyd 25pts, and Adam Zahn's 20pts and 8rebs. "It was great to get back on the court after finish the ABA season on a real low" stated Buzz GM and Head Coach Burrel Lee III. "We have been giving a chance to continue play since the ABA season is done and when Curt Pickering came to me and asked would we like to play, we couldnt past up the chance to lace them up and get the Buzz back where they should be" added Lee.

"By no means does this mean that we are leaving the ABA. This is a Spring league and it gives a chance to continue play and get players ready for summer leagues and stay in shape, with a chance to get more video and stats and add to the resume" says Lee.

We will be making an annoucement soon with out home and road schedule to finish out play leading into the WCPBL Tournament to be held in Santa Barbara June 20-22.
