Maywood Buzz Home Opener Tonight

Maywood Buzz News Release


Maywood, CA - The Maywood Buzz will play its second games since the 2007 - 2008 ABA season has started. "Due to teams folding and other teams canceling games we have not played since loosing to San Francisco 2 weeks ago today" stated Buzz GM/Head Coach Burrel Lee III. "We have practiced hard each day leading up to this game. Guys are tired of playing against each other and we are more then ready to face the Wildcats" added Lee.

The 0 - 1 Buzz will tipoff at 7:35pm tonight at the Maywood Activity Center, located at 4801 East 58 th Street, Maywood, CA 90270. Tickets are $5 for all general admission seats and courtsides are only $10.

The Buzz who was missing 2 starters in their last game will have the entire team suited. "Coach has been working us hard to get us ready for tonight, I am just ready to see someone in another uniform" said Buzz Rookie Mychal Hodgson. "We are expecting a pretty nice crowd tonight, along with it being our home opening night, we will also have the El Cucuy and his Morning Show from La Raza 97.9 (Los Angeles) in attendance with giveaways" says Lee.

The City of Maywood and the Maywood Buzz have been working hand in hand to get to this point. We hope to see you at the game.
