
Mayer Helps the Martha's Vineyard Sharks Down the Pittsfield Suns 10-5

Jon Mayer went 2-4, helping the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (26-17) to a 10-5 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (21-22) on Tuesday at Vineyard Baseball Park.
He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Brian Rapp had an impressive outing against the Pittsfield Suns' lineup. The Pittsfield Suns managed just two hits off of Rapp, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his four innings of work.
Ryan Olmo racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the third inning.
The Marthas Vineyard Sharks couldn't get anything going so long as Connor Johnson was on the hill. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of Johnson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Billy Humes (0-2) took the loss for the Pittsfield Suns. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
