Seacoast Mavericks News Release
Portsmouth, Nh: The Seacoast Mavericks have hired their first manager for their inaugural 2011 season. Former Minnesota Twins farm hand and Portsmouth High School standout pitcher Chris Anderson will guide the Mavericks this summer. "I am really excited", said Anderson. "Baseball is a passion of mine and managing this team will be great. This is an avenue that I have been pursuing."
The Maverick front office is also exciting about what Anderson brings to the table. General Manager Sean Evans said, "Chris is young and excited about the opportunity and we are really excited to see Chris manage and lead these guys this summer."
Anderson was an 18th round draft pick in the Major League Baseball 2006 Amateur Draft by the Minnesota Twins and says drawing on what he learned from that organization will be a benefit. "The way the Twins do things is going to be something that I use to help me direct this group."
