PORTSMOUTH, NH.  The Seacoast Mavericks are excited to announce that the local Mad Fisherman, Charlie Moore, will serve as a special guest and auctioneer during the 2014 Hot Stove Dinner and Silent Auction being held on January 24that the Harbor Events Center in Portsmouth, NH.

"We couldn't think of a better celebrity than the Codfather himself Charlie Moore, to serve as our special guest" stated Mike Daboul president of the Seacoast Mavericks Collegiate baseball team.  "Charlie is a larger than life celebrity who takes our sports heroes and has this uncanny ability to put them at ease and show his television viewer a very different celebrity than we see on the field.   In this night where we are celebrating baseball, I can't wait to see what Charlie has in store", stated Daboul.

"I sat with Mike Young, our General Manager and told him there are two things baseball players do in the offseason", said Dave Hoyt, principal of the Seacoast Mavericks collegiate team.  "Play golf and fish.  And there is no one in Boston, let alone New England that personifies the sport of fishing more than Charlie Moore. Having Bill Lee and Charlie on the same stage is going to be awesome", added Hoyt.

The Seacoast Mavericks 2014 Hot Stove Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Friday, January 24th at the Harbor Events Center in Portsmouth NH.  In addition to Charlie Moore, the night will feature Major League Baseball's Bill Lee, Sam Fuld, and Mike Feansoso. This year's event will be emceed by Mike "Mut" Mutnansky from WEEI's beloved talk show Mut and Merloni. Tickets may be purchased at www.seacoastmavericks.com.   The Seacoast Mavericks are a 501 (c) 3 organizations that competes in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

Charlie Moore appears on NBS Sports' Charlie Moore No Offense and on NESN's Charlie Moore Outdoors.  Over the last 14 years of being on the air, Charlie has fished and had fun with tons of celebrities - running the gamut from sports giants like Bobby Orr and Bill Lee to musicians like Ted Nugent to Batman!  Both of the Seacoast Mavericks 2013 Hot Stove Dinner special guests Sam Fuld and Jarrod Saltalamacchia have fished and appeared on Charlie Moore's Outdoors.  More information about Charlie Moore can be found at www.charliemoore.com .
