Mavericks Shoot Down 'Hawks

Rockford, IL-The Rockford RiverHawks dropped their second straight game to the Mid-Missouri Mavericks by the score of 8-0. Justin Stine (5-4) shut down the Rockford offense all night. Stine lasted eight innings, scattering five hits, and didn't allow a run. Scott Sobkowiak (6-7) picked up the loss for Rockford. Sobkowiak gave up six runs on five hits in five innings of work. Jake Whitesides went 2-for-5 with two RBI's to lead the Mavericks offense. Dan Urban went 2-for-5 for Rockford.

Rockford will now embark on a six-game road trip before returning home. The 'Hawks will return home on August 7 for 98 cent beer sponsored by Miller Lite and Q98.5. All Rockford RiverHawk games can be heard on 102.3 FM the "Hub". For ticket information please call the RiverHawks at 964-BALL.
