Mavericks defeat Nashua

ROCHESTER- The Seacoast Mavericks defeated The Nashua Silver Knights on Friday evening at the inaugural game at Leary Field in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Winning pitcher Donnie Hissa's (University of Notre Dame) allowed no earned runs and scattered only six hits and three walks on the evening. Hissa turned out six strikeouts during his performance. Angelo Roman (Dakota State University) recorded the save on the evening Roman gave up one hit and one walk amongst 2.2 innings pitched. He struck out three.

Bryan Langlois (Pepperdine) impressed going 4-4 on the evening. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and sixth innings. Langlois also recorded an RBI and a run. Kevin Stenhouse (University of Rhode Island) went 1-3 on the evening with one RBI.

Christopher Good (University of New Mexico) lasted four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs in his performance. Cole Warren (University of Rhode Island) kept the ship afloat for the Knights, giving up only two hits in four innings of work. He walked one and struck out six.

Chris Shaw (Boston College) and Jon Minnuci (Southern New Hampshire University) both had RBI's on the evening while Sean Lyons (Northeastern University) and Logan Gillis (Bentley University) accounted for the Knights two runs.
