
Maulers sweep league's weekly awards

The Montgomery Maulers have swept the league-wide player awards for this week following the team's impressive 71-63 win over Kissimmee on Saturday night. The Maulers are the first team in over a year to win all three NIFL player awards in the same week.
Montgomery running back Chrys Chukuma has been named the NIFL's Offensive Player of the Week after carrying the ball 21 times for 98 yards and six touchdowns against the Kreatures.
Lineback John Harrell has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week after collecting 12 tackles, one pass break-up and one blocked field goal in the game.
Former Alabama State star Richard Rowe is the league's Special Teams Player of the Week after returning five kickoffs for 133 yards.
The Maulers play at Rome (GA) Friday night before returning home for their first-ever home game on Saturday, April 2 at 7:30pm at historic Garrett Coliseum.
