Maulers select dance team

The Montgomery Maulers announce their “second team” for the upcoming 2005 season… the Maulers dance team and cheerleaders! The squad was selected from the open tryouts and auditions held on February 12 and coordinated by Top Dog Cheerleading of Montgomery.
The squad includes 28 young ladies including 18 from Montgomery, three from Prattville, two each from Auburn and Deatsville, and one each from Greenville, Monroeville and Shorter.
The 2005 Maulers Dance Team: Tiffany Barnett (Montgomery), Julie Bazzell (Montgomery), Jenna Blair (Shorter), Jenna Brooks (Montgomery), AustineÂ’ Brown (Montgomery), Brittany Cammack (Prattville), Jessica Champlin (Montgomery), Candace Corley (Deatsville), Rachel Cox (Prattville), Candace Davidson (Greenville), Jade Deese (Monroeville), Kristen Dishman (Deatsville), Michele Fitzgerald (Montgomery), Jenifer Lundquist (Auburn), Summer Melton (Montgomery), Carley Miller (Montgomery), Rachal Missildine (Auburn), Krispin Nelson (Montgomery), Chira Newton (Montgomery), Hannah Nichols (Prattville), Candace Paul (Montgomery), Tamika Relf (Montgomery), LaÂ’Toya Richardson (Montgomery), Tiffany Robinson (Montgomery), Marilyn Sanders (Montgomery) and Paisley Vaughn (Montgomery). Selected as alternates are Andrea Forrester (Montgomery) and Stephanie Harrell (Montgomery).
On Saturday, February 26 at 1:00pm the Maulers will hold registration for the Mini-Maulers Cheer Squad for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 12. The Cheer Squad will perform at all home games and at selected events in the community. Prior dance or cheer experience is not required. The registration fee is $20 plus a $70 uniform fee that includes the skirt, top, hair ribbon and pom-poms. Registration will be held at the MaulersÂ’ office at Eastdale Mall. An expansion franchise in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), the Montgomery Maulers offer seven nights of hard-hitting, high-scoring, “edge of your seat” excitement at historic Garrett Coliseum. The Maulers play their first-ever game on March 19 at Kissimmee, FL. The first home game is Saturday, April 2 against the SW Louisiana Swashbucklers.
