
Maulers Host Blood Drive

MONTGOMERY, Ala. â The Montgomery Maulers along with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are hosting a blood drive on Sunday, May 22. The BloodMobile will be at Garrett Coliseum from 1-5 p.m. Donors must be 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and show a photo I.D.
According to data, hospitals in the United States use an average of 48,000 units of blood on a daily basis. With that number increasing annually, officials are looking to encourage more people to donate blood on a regular basis. Currently, about 8 million people in the United States donate their time and blood to this cause.
