The Montgomery Maulers have added four more players to the 2005 roster including former University of Alabama defensive back Michael Feagin, former Troy State linebacker Cory Sears, and a pair of former Alabama State players in Antwoine Hill and Richard Rowe.

Michael Feagin (5'10 180) was a defensive back at the University of Alabama from 1995-98. In 2000, he played in four games for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League, catching two passes for 23 yards and adding eight tackles on defense. After starting the 2001 season with Tampa Bay, Feagin was released and joined the arenafootball2 Peoria Pirates. In 13 starts with Peoria, Feagin caught 8 passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns on offense, while making 42 tackles and collecting two interceptions on defense. Feagin moved closer to home in 2002, starting all 16 games for the Birmingham Steeldogs and recording 74 tackles with five interceptions. He returned two of the interceptions for touchdowns. Feagin played with Odessa (TX) of the Intense Football League the past two seasons, earning all-star honors in both years.

Cory Sears (6'0 205) originally signed with Southern Mississippi before transferring to Troy State and leading the Trojans in tackles in 2001 with 111 tackles. In 32 career games with Troy State, Sears collected 136 tackles, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks. Sears played in 11 games with the af2 Birmingham Steeldogs in 2003, collecting 33 tackles while adding two rushing touchdowns on offense. A star player at Lee High School in Montgomery, Sears amassed 473 career tackles, the most ever for a player in 6A.

Also added to the roster are former Alabama State players Antwoine Hill and Richard Rowe. Hill (5'11 175) is the second all-time interceptions leader at Alabama State, collecting 16 interceptions from 2001-03. Rowe (5'9 200) led Alabama State in punt returns and kickoff returns in 2003. His best game was in the 2003 Detroit Classic at Ford Field when he returned a punt 51 yards for a touchdown, returned another punt 64 yards, and blocked a field goal attempt that was returned for a score.
