
Heat Dance Team supports tsunami relief efforts

Fayetteville, NC --- The Fayetteville HEAT Dance Team took part in the HOT 104.5 "celebrity" auction, Saturday, February 12, 2005, to raise money for tsunami relief. Bidders, vying to purchase HOT dates on-air talent, gathered in the ballroom of the Clarion Prince Charles Hotel, and in the spirit of charity the HEAT Dance team put themselves on the auction block.
Bids started at $10 and in a matter of minutes Skip Carr, of "On The Town TV," was declared the date for the 17 member squad. More than $1,000 was raised to help recovery efforts in tsunami stricken Indonesia.
"The Dance Team is honored to support such a wonderful cause," said Brandy Helm Dance Team Coordinator. "We are looking forward to our date with Skip, he's always full of surprises so it should be exciting."
The date is dinner at Chloe's in the Clarion Prince Charles and will be aired on "On The Town TV," Channel 60.
