Montgomery Bears News Release
NEXT GAME SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH!
This Saturday the Maulers will travel to Lakeland, Fla., for a rematch with the Lakeland Thunderbolts. Montgomery is looking to maitain the lead in the Central Divison of the Atlantic Conference and extend their win streak to four games. With a win Montgomery will improve to 2-4 on the road and will also be one game closer to being named Division Champions and hosting a playoff game.
COMMUNITY APPEARANCES
Here is a list of places where the Maulers team will be this coming week.
- Tuesday June 14, members of the dance team, players and head Coach James Shiver will be reading at the Prattville Public Library
Phone Card Dive Results
The phone card drive hosted by the Maulers was a huge success. People from around the Montgomery area pitched in and donated 5,535 minutes worth of phone cards to be sent to soldiers overseas.The Maulers would like to thank everyone who helped make this worthy cause a huge success.
Father's Day Ticket Give-A-Way
The Montgomery Maulers and Eastdale Mall are hosting a Father's Day ticket promotion. For $50 purchased in Eastdale Mall people can come by the Maulers office, show their receipt and receive a free sideline ticket. Limit is one per person. This promotion will last through Father's Day on June 19th. For more information contact the Maulers at 277-1881 or come by the office in Eastdale Mall.
COACH'S RADIO SHOW
The Montgomery Maulers invite fans to join the fun every Monday night during the season for "Dinner with the Maulers" at participating restaurants around town. Fans can join the team for dinner, drinks and talk football every Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A live radio talk show featuring head coach James Shiver and the players will originate from the participating restaurant from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The radio show will air on SportsRadio 740 (WMSP-AM).
This week's show will be broadcast at Gator's Bar and Grill located on Vaughn Road.
FAN CLUB
Several Maulers fans have started a Fan Club, the Mauler Maniax, which is dedicated to the enhancement of the team. Members will receive an official Mauler Maniax t-shirt, a weekly newsletter, preferential tailgating, opportunities to write articles for the newsletter and exclusive voting for "Fan Club Player of Week."
The cost for membership is $10 per person or $25 for a family of four. Anyone interested in joining may contact the club's president Chris Yow at cyow@huntingdon.edu, by calling (205) 533-4864, or by logging onto the official website at maulermaniacs.tripod.com.
