Lincoln Capitols News Release
Lincoln, NE - -The Lincoln Capitols will be boarding the bus Thursday for a trip to Texas to face the Lubbock Gunslingers Saturday night. The Capitols are hungry for their first win of the season and hope the progress they've made in recent weeks will give Pat Schaben his first win as Head Coach.
The Capitols will be looking to bring home a win this weekend with their high scoring offense led by numerous players who have set various Capitols records this season including QB Michael Spriggs, RB John Hall, WR Richard Cooper and WR/KR Mike Carrawell. The Defense will be led by another record setter in DB Ty Goode whose squad hopes to stymie QB Marc Saldana and the Gunslinger offense.
Chris Collins, who will help anchor the Defensive Line has joined the team this week. Collins played his college ball at Nebraska Wesleyan University and will be joining fellow Prairie Wolves Jess Palmer, Travis Tarman, George Parker, and Seth Tucker on the Capitols squad.
The Capitols will return home July 2 for a rematch with the Billing Mavericks in the Pershing Center. Kick off is scheduled at 7:05. Tickets for the game are only $5, so get yours today and beat the July heat, come indoors and join the party.
