
Matthew Brenton Named Telus Offensive Player Of The Week

Montreal, January 25th 2010- Montreal Juniors forward Matthew Brenton has been named the TELUS offensive Player of the Week, for the week of January 18th -24th. Brenton, 20, scored three goals and picked up three assists, as well as a +5 rating in two games.
Brenton started his streak Friday night against the Val D'Or Foreurs, with a goal and two assists. He followed this with another superb performance Saturday, where he was named the first star of the game after collecting two goals and an assist in a victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs.
He currently leads the Juniors in the plus/minus category, with a +14 differential.
Pierre-Alexandre Vandall (Cataractes), Mike Hoffman (Sea Dogs) et Simon Olsson (Drakkar) were also considered.
