
Matt Beleskey Named OHL Player Of The Week

Belleville Bulls Captain Matt Beleskey has been named the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week. Beleskey enjoyed a very strong week, scoring once and adding five assists in three Bulls playoff victories over the Oshawa Generals in the Eastern Conference Championship series. He is the first Bull to be named player of the week this season.
Beleskey began the week by recording three assists in the Bulls 3-2 opening game victory over Oshawa, as he was named second star of the game. On Friday, he scored the game winning goal and added an assist in Belleville's 4-3 win before wrapping up the week the following night with an assist in a 5-2 game three victory. He also finished the week with a +4 rating.
The Midhurst, Ontario native currently leads the Bulls in playoff scoring with five goals and 17 points in 12 games and has recorded at least a point in each of his past 11 games. Beleskey also led Belleville in regular season scoring with 41 goals and 90 points in 62 games played.
