San Antonio Scorpions News Release
San Antonio stretched their lead in the NASL Fall Season Standings to four points and in the process took over the top spot in the Combined Standings with last Saturday's 3-0 win over FC Edmonton at Toyota Field. The Scorpions also stretched their unbeaten streak at Toyota Field to eight games, which is one shy of the team record set in 2012.
The Scorpions have been equally formidable on the road this season as they set an NASL record by winning six straight road games and overall, they've taken 19 of a possible 27 points away from Toyota Field in 2014. The team record for road points accumulated is 20 from the 2012 season.
Carolina started the Fall Season in prime position to compete for a spot in The Championship as they held down fourth place after the spring campaign. But the RailHawks have only one win in their last five matches and now sit in sixth place in the Combined Standings, though they are only two points behind fourth-place Tampa Bay.
