The quick road trip to California did not go the Toros' way as they left behind a tightly contested match against Western conference top runner, San Diego Loyal SC. RGV FC lost the match 2-1 but were left with a positive note as the team found the net to end their short drought, thanks to veteran defender Erik Pimentel who tapped in a corner kick cross into the 6-yard box.
Now the focus shifts on making sure that their home soil is protected and they leave the Valley with a positive impact on their supporters and most importantly in the standings as they seek three points at H-E-B Park. Standing between them and this objective are Hartford Athletic who are less lethal on the attack than Sand Diego were coming into last match for RGV, however, it is key that the Toros continue to take every opponent serious and lock in on possession and limit created chances to make sure points don't slip away unnecessarily.
