ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Sunday when it hosts Inter Miami CF at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match, presented by The Home Depot, is set to kick-off at 3 p.m. EST and will be nationally broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
Atlanta holds a 2-3-3 all-time record against Inter Miami CF: 2-1-1 at home and 0-2-2 on the road in the series. This is the second and final meeting between the clubs in 2022 after Miami won the first matchup 2-1 at DRV PNK Stadium on April 24.
Atlanta is coming off a 3-2 win in the American Family Insurance Cup against C.F. Pachuca on Tuesday. Josef Martínez, Luiz Araújo and Dom Dwyer each tallied a goal as Atlanta improved to 4-0-0 all-time at home against Liga MX sides.
Brooks Lennon ranks third in MLS in chances created entering the weekend with 41.
Atlanta ranks first in MLS in key passes with 149 and second in dribble success rate at 57.2 %, trailing only New England Revolution at 57.8 %.
Inter Miami is unbeaten in its last four MLS matches, including wins in its last two matches before the international break at home against New York Red Bulls and Portland Timbers. Forward Leonardo Campana leads the team with seven MLS goals.
