San Antonio Scorpions News Release

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Friday, April 24, 2015) - Minnesota United and the Scorpions won the Spring and Fall seasons, respectively, in 2014 and finished 1-2 in the overall regular season standings last year. Both sides carry high expectations for 2015, but both are still looking for their first win of the year as the Scorpions have lost two straight and United are winless in six dating to last season. I-35 runs through both San Antonio and Minneapolis but the clubs share more than an interstate as they have a colorful history on the pitch that began with a heated playoff series in 2012.

The Scorpions won the last meeting between the teams 1-0 last fall at NSC Stadium in Blaine, MN, to bring the all-time series to a count of 3-5-5 in favor of United. The Scorpions have always played the Loons well on the road, though, as they've only lost once in Minnesota while compiling a 2-3-1 record.

The match will be available to viewers on ESPN3, SAScorpions.com/watch-live or NASL.com/watch-live.
