Atletico Ottawa News Release
Atlético Ottawa will take its determination to the pitch at TD Place once more, looking for three points, when it hosts the Halifax Wanderers on Saturday, September 11 (KO 1:30PM, live on OneSoccer and TSN 1200).
MATCH NOTES
This is the fourth of six matchups between Atlético Ottawa and the Halifax Wanderers this season, the third and final one at TD Place, where Ottawa has 1W-1D-0L against the Maritimers.
On both previous clashes, Brian Wright and Malcolm Shaw were Ottawa's scorers.
Halifax is coming into the match off a 3-3 draw against York United at home on Monday, while Ottawa looks to erase the sour taste left from the 0-1 loss to Forge FC on Wednesday evening.
This matchup should offer plenty of firepower for fans to enjoy, with Halifax's João Morelli sitting atop the scoring table in the CPL with 9 goals, and Ottawa's Malcolm Shaw not too far behind, tied in second with 6 goals on the season so far.
Fans purchasing their match tickets between Thursday, September 9 and the start of the match will be treated to a free junior hot dog to enjoy during the match.
OUT: Brandon John (injury, season); Vashon Neufville (injury); Drew Beckie (medical); Ryan Telfer (suspension; red card).
IN OTHER NEWS
A reminder that Atlético Ottawa's match at York United FC originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 15 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 14 at 7 PM at York Lions Stadium in order to accommodate the recently announced 2021 Canadian Championship Quarter-Final Round schedule.
