Fresno FC News Release

Fresno FC returns to Chukchansi Park where the Foxes aim to defend their den against sixth-place Reno 1868 FC. It is the second and final meeting between the two clubs, who last played to a 1-1 draw in Reno on June 9th that happened during Reno's 16-match unbeaten streak. Since then, however, Reno took a slip, falling 2-1 to Saint Louis FC in late July. Reno then lost three of its next four matches before they regained their footing with a 2-1 win over Las Vegas Lights FC on Tuesday of this week. The Foxes, however, will look to defend their home field where they have won four straight and conceded just 1 goal during those 360 minutes, while also allowing just two goals in the last 450 minutes played at Chukchansi Park. The Foxes are unbeaten in their last two matches as they come played to a 2-2 draw at Las Vegas Lights last week that saw Renato Bustamante's stoppage-time goal help Fresno escape with a point on the road.

THEY SAID IT

HEAD COACH ADAM SMITH

On this home matchup against Reno as the Foxes continue fighting for playoffs

AS: "Reno are a very good team so we've got to be on our guard and use the home field advantage of course and use the crowd as an advantage. The guys enjoy playing at Chukchansi Park, so we've got to take that. If we can pick up close to maximum points from our home games, it gives us a great opportunity. I met with the guys today, sat down with them, told them that they can do it. It's going to be up here [points to head] that is going to be the difference. They get that right and they'll be fine. A lot of the teams that we're playing that are above us are all teams that we've played before and most of them we've beaten, so that's encouraging. But everyone is fighting right now so every game is going to be a battle. We're gonna have to roll our sleeves up, we're going to have to stay focused and concentrate right until the very end and we're going to have to take our chances when they come."

CAPTAIN/MIDFIELDER JUAN PABLO CAFFA

What is the team's attitude going into this late part of the season?

JPC: "I think that this last run of the league is when we should all be more focused. We should be more united as a family, more than ever and I think that it is a job for everyone: the team, the coaches, the players, staff, front office, the people. We need all of it in order to make our dream of making it to playoffs as a first-year team possible."

LINEUPS

Starting XIs will be sent out about one hour before kickoff.
