BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The United Football League has announced the appointment of David Martin as Senior Director of Team Business and Event Operations for the Birmingham Stallions. Martin was the Director of Marketing during the 2023 USFL season based at the Canton, Ohio hub.
With the Stallions, Martin is responsible for the team's marketing efforts, as well as management of game-day experience. He will oversee the team's business performance and activations, to elevate awareness, drive fan and community engagement and execute the game-day experience.
Martin brings extensive leadership experience to his new role with the Birmingham Stallions, having excelled in positions across professional sports franchises and marketing agencies. Notably, as Chief Operating Officer & General Manager of the Gastonia Honey Hunters Baseball Club, he spearheaded the successful launch of an Atlantic League franchise, achieving outstanding sales and sponsorship results. Martin's appointment underscores the Stallions' commitment to elevating fan experiences and driving business growth.
With a proven track record of driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility, Martin is poised to make a significant impact on the Birmingham Stallions. His strategic acumen and leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the team's future success.
The Birmingham Stallions kick off the 2024 United Football League season March 30 at the Arlington Renegades. The home opener against the Memphis Showboats is slated for April 13 at 6 p.m. CT at Protective Stadium.
