Buffalo Bisons News Release
Andy Marte, Lou Merloni and Ryan Mulhern all homered for the Bisons but it was the Toledo Mud Hens that were victorious, 11-8, this afternoon from Lakeland, FL. The loss is Buffalo's first this Spring, dropping their record to 7-1-2 with two games remaining in camp.
The Bisons will host the Richmond Braves at Winter Haven, FL Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Marte's (1-5) homer was his second in only four Spring games with the Herd. Merloni's (1-3, 3RBI) and Mulhern's (2-4, 3RBI) blasts were part of a six-run 9th inning as the Bisons tried to comeback from an 11-2 deficit.
The Bisons open up the 2006 season on Thursday, April 6 in Richmond against the Braves. The Herd's Home Opener is just 15 days away: Friday, April 14 at 6:05 p.m. against the Columbus Clippers.
