Cincinnati , OH - The National Indoor Football League's Cincinnati Marshals trimmed their roster to 26 heading into their final week of preparation for the start of the 2006 season.
The Marshals welcome six members of the Atlantic Conference runner-up squad back to the team this year including running backs Nick Ayers and Donty Horton. Linemen Jon Perron and Patrick Willis also return as does offensive lineman Matt Mercer and linebacker Derek Robinson.
Deontey Kenner and Seth Ellis are battling it out at quarterback while former Miami of Ohio standout Michael Larkin leads a talented receiver corp.
In order to get to the 26-man list, the Marshals cut four players, including former Marshals Tim Daniels and Ian Etheridge as well as Marvin Campbell and Jason Fish.
The Marshals open the season March 26 at the River City Rage before kicking off their home schedule against the Dayton Bulldogs on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 7:30pm at U.S. Bank Arena.
