Marshals Teaming Up With Miami Valley Hospital for Cancer Research

Cincinnati , OH - The Cincinnati Marshals are joining up with Miami Valley Hospital to help with their "Celebrate the Valley" fundraiser for Cancer research.
The event, sponsored by the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, raises money through an auction each year. This year, monies from the evening will go toward research for Breast Cancer.
Miami Valley Hospital is creating a new breast care program that brings the services directly to the patient rather than the other way around. MVH will have the area's only truly comprehensive breast care center, including a Patient Navigator who will be a key component of this service. According to materials from MVH, the Navigator will serve as a single resource for patients from diagnosis to recovery, a single point of contact for steering patients through the process.
The 12 th annual "Celebrate the Valley" gala will be held on April 22, 2006 at Aviation Sales at Dayton Wright Brothers Airport.
Among items to be auctioned off are several pieces of memorabilia donated by Marshals owner Doug Hortman as well as pieces of Marshals merchandise.
"Everything Doug and the Marshals have done has been greatly appreciated," committee member Ann Reynolds-Dreisbach said. "They have given so generously to help our cause. For them to give so many things is really great."
The Marshals, a member of the National Indoor Football League, open their season March 26 at St. Louis against the River City Rage before hosting the Dayton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 in their home opener at U.S. Bank Arena.
