Marshals to Host Atlantic Conference Championship at U.S. Bank Arena

Cincinnati, OH - The Cincinnati Marshals of the National Indoor Football League excitedly announce the hosting of the Atlantic Conference Championship game on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 7:30pm at U.S. Bank Arena. The Marshals (10-6) will battle the Rome Renegades (9-7) for the Atlantic Conference title and a trip to the Indoor Bowl V.

Cincinnati earned the birth in the Conference Championship game by defeating the Fayetteville Guard 70-69 on Saturday in Fayetteville. Quarterback Brett Dietz was 24-36 for 234 yards and 6 touchdowns passing. Four of those touchdowns went to Tobias Deans who finished the night with 99 receiving yards. Rayshawn Askew and Johnell Wyatte each added two touchdowns to secure the Marshals victory.

The Renegades finished the regular season 7-7. They defeated the 6-8 Lakeland Thunderbolts 53-7 in the first round of the playoffs. Saturday night they knocked off the Atlantic Central Champions, the Montgomery Maulers, 47-31 to move on to the Conference Finals.

The Marshals host the Rome Renegades in the Atlantic Conference Finals on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 7:30pm at U.S. Bank Arena. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 5:00pm.
