
Marshals Drop Generals 8-1

Victoria Generals News Release
The Texas Marshals used a five-run first inning to propel them to an 8-1 victory over the Victoria Generals on Wednesday night in Dallas.
The Marshals jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning off of Generals starting pitcher Zac Vasek. Vasek then settled in and did not allow another run over the course of the next four innings. Vasek finished the night with six strikeouts in five innings, but took the loss.
Keaton Brewer shutout the Generals offense in his seven innings on the night as he allowed just two hits and five walks while striking out five.
The Generals finally pushed a run across in the top of the eighth inning on a Jacob Hubert RBI single off of Marshals relief pitcher Tyler Parmenter to score David Paiz, Jr.
The Marshals answered with three runs off of Generals relief pitcher Armando Arevalo in the bottom half of the eighth and went onto win 8-1.
With the loss, the Generals fall to 28-29 overall and 11-16 in the second-half. The Marshals improve to 19-39 overall and 10-18 in the second-half.
The Generals will return home to host the Woodlands Strykers on Thursday and Friday nights in the final two home games of the regular season. Both games will start at 7:05pm.
Thursday night is the final Thirsty Thursday of the season. Draft beer will be $1 all game long on the Beef 'O' Brady's Party Deck.
