
Mariners Purchase Rox Catcher

BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox announced today that the Seattle Mariners have purchased catcher Jason Radwan from the Rox. Radwan will report to the Mariners' spring training facilities in Peoria, AZ. Seattle plays its exhibition schedule in the Cactus League.
The Rox acquired Radwan in early December in a trade which sent former Rox LHP Kevin Beavers to the Forth Worth Cats. Radwan hit .246 in 72 games for Fort Worth in 2005, with 9 homeruns and 49 RBI. Defensively, Radwan finished the 2005 season with a .991 fielding percentage.
The Brockton Rox play in the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball, and open their fifth season at Campanelli Stadium on Thursday, May 25th against the New Haven Cutters. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group outings are now on sale through the ticket office at (508) 559-7000.
