The Pulaski Mariners defeated the Greeneville Astros 11-6 on Sunday night. Pulaski continued its hitting ways-managing 11 runs on 17 hits.
Troy Scott (2-2, 2.88 ERA) started on the hill for the Mariners. He brought his season record back even at .500 with a five-inning, two-run performance with six strikeouts.
As a unit, the Mariners hit over .400 for the game. Arby Fields, Rafael Fernandez, Daniel Torres, and Gianfranco Wawoe all recorded three hits, and Carlton Tanabe added two more.
Brock Dykxhoorn (1-1, 12.27 ERA) was shelled by Pulaski. He lasted only an inning-and-a-third and surrendered six runs in a losing effort.
The two teams wrap up their series Monday night. First pitch is expected at 7pm.
