Bloomington Thunder News Release
BLOOMINGTON, Illinois - Due to a scheduling conflict, the United States Hockey League, Bloomington Thunder, Youngstown Phantoms, and Madison Capitols have agreed to a scheduling change for three game dates in March. The change will affect the Thunder, pushing their Saturday, March 12 game against the Phantoms to Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m.
The Thunder will honor tickets originally printed for Saturday, March 12 at the Thursday game or fans can exchange those tickets for any other date during the 2015-16 regular season. All future tickets will be printed for Thursday the 10th. For any questions or concerns please call the Thunder office at (309) 434-2980 or visit our office at the corner of Front Street and Madison Street in downtown Bloomington.
The newly scheduled Thursday night game will feature $1 draft beer all game as a one time, midweek drink special.

Saturday's from 6-7 p.m. it's buy one, get one free hot dogs and all kids 12 and under get a free hot dog. Finally, all Sunday/Monday games feature a $3 kids meal. A three game road trip for the Phantoms was originally scheduled for Friday through Sunday with two games in Bloomington and one stop in Madison. To alleviate the schedule, the league and its three involved teams assisted in pushing the games up one day. The Phantoms will face off with the Thunder on Thursday and still hold their Friday game, while the Capitols move their Sunday, March 13 game to Saturday March 12.
The Thunder and Phantoms square off eight times during the 2015-16 season. The schedule change will affect the final series between the Thunder and Phantoms. The Thunder have already finished a two game trip to Youngstown, but will not see the Phantoms again until the middle of January. The Thunder meet the Phantoms more than any other opponent for the second straight year.
Bloomington will host Sioux Falls on Friday before heading to Madison on Saturday for the FastHockey game of the week. Bloomington is 1-1-0 all time with the Stampede and will open their first of two games this season at 7 p.m. The Capitols and Thunder begin their season series as well, opening the first of four meetings. Bloomington is 3-1-0 all-time over their expansion counterpart.
NEXT HOME GAME: Friday, October 23rd - 7 p.m. - Bloomington hosts the Sioux Falls Stampede to wrap up a three game home stand. Draft beer and soft drinks will be on sale from 6-7 p.m. The night is presented by McLean County Orthopedics.
