Port St. Lucie, FL - The Marauders (42-26, 74-64) finished the season with a 6-2 win over the St. Lucie Mets (33-35, 68-70) at Tradition Field on Sunday afternoon. A five-run outburst in the fifth inning erased a 2-1 Mets lead. The Marauders finished the season with a winning record for the second consecutive year.
RHP Frank Duncan (W, 9-10) fired six innings and struck out a half dozen in his final start of the year. RHP Isaac Sanchez, RHP Miguel Rosario, and RHP Henry Hirsch each pitched a perfect inning to close out the win.
LF Junior Sosa powered the offense by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Sosa doubled and tripled. 1B Jordan Steranka and Trace Tam Sing also had multi-hit games. NOTES: The game began at 10:33 a.m. under sunny skies, 86 degrees, and wind blowing 9 mph out to center ... Henry Hirsch capped the season with his team-leading 47th appearance ... Frank Duncan led the Marauders with 153 innings pitched ... Bradenton has posted back-to-back winning seasons for the second time and has never posted a third consecutive winning season ...
