Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (19-18) got seven strong innings they desperately needed from LHP Cody Dickson (W, 3-3) to take Sunday's series finale 2-0 against the Palm Beach Cardinals (19-18).
Dickson scattered seven hits, induced two double plays, struck out three without a walk, and picked off the last base runner he allowed to end his night.
2B Erich Weiss walked with the bases loaded in the first inning against top Cardinals righty pitching prospect Alex Reyes. That run held up as the only score of the game until LF Barrett Barnes doubled home CF Austin Meadows in the bottom of the seventh with the final run of the game.
LHP Cesilio Pimentel delivered two innings in his Marauders debut for his first save.
NOTES: The game began at 1:12 p.m. under cloudy skies, 86 degrees, and wind blowing 9 mph in various directions ... The win was the fourth by shutout for the Marauders this season ... Wyatt Mathisen has recorded eight straight multi-hit game ... Cody Dickson picked off two batters in the game ...
