Manatees to Honor Two High Schools at Saturday's Game
VIERA, FL- The Brevard County Manatees, a Class A-Advanced Affiliate of The Milwaukee Brewers, will be hosting a between-inning ceremony for Eau Gallie High School and Merritt Island High School baseball programs during Saturday's game at Space Coast Stadium. Both programs have progressed in their respective district class to represent Brevard County and compete in the regional finals tomorrow, May 8th. A win would advance that team to The State Championships in Ft. Myers later next week.
"While we can't forecast the outcome for both teams tomorrow, The Manatees want to make sure there is a moment during Saturday's game to recognize each program and their fantastic post-season," expresses Kyle Smith, General Manager. "At the very minimum, these young athletes should be applauded for their stellar performances at regionals this year."
Bob Collins, Eau Gallie High School Baseball Coach, will also be recognized as he celebrated his 300th career win with The Commodores this season.
Tickets are still available for Saturday's 6:35PM game when The Manatees take on the Tampa Yankees with a Fireworks display to follow. Any questions or inquiries may be directed to Jennifer Garcia, Director of Community Relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 321-633-9200 ext. 3006.
