Brevard County Manatees News Release

Brevard County Manatees fans, the team has appointed a new assistant coach for Saturday night's game...Larissa Yakich has agreed to assist the Manatees coaches in game three of the series with the Ft Myers Miracle. That's right, Larissa becomes the Manatees first female assistant coach.

Larissa will show up early to the stadium and assist Manatees coaches in game prep, then accompany Manager Ramon Aviles to Home Plate for the line-up exchange with the Umpires and Kevin Boles, the Miracle's Manager. Larissa was presented with a Manatees game jersey and cap for the occasion.

BTW, did we mention that Larissa is a 7-year old from Manatee Elementary here in Viera and she won the coach for a day promotion in our nightly Deal or No Deal contest and has decided that Saturday night would be a great time to join the staff. Look for Larissa to put her experience to work tonight for the Manatees.
