Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has acquired forward Matt Taylor from the New York Titans in exchange for a fifth-round selection in the 2007 National Lacrosse League entry draft.
Taylor, 24, did not appear in a game for the expansion Titans. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Oshawa, Ontario played in two games for the Toronto Rock last season, posting a goal and three assists. He was second on the team in scoring last summer for the Nanaimo (British Columbia) Timbermen of the Western Lacrosse Association, tallying 34 goals and 23 assists in 16 games.
"Matt is a good young player and he's shown the ability to score lots of goals," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "He will make a nice addition to our group of forwards."
To keep its roster at 23 players, the Mammoth has released forward Kevin Olson.
