Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization has signed defensemen Paul Dawson and Nate Wade to respective one-year contract agreements, set to begin during the 2023-24 NLL campaign.

Most recently recording seven points (2g, 5a), 74 loose balls, 14 caused turnovers, 10 blocked shots and 28 penalty minutes in 18 regular season games played, the veteran back-ender will look to bring his physical presence and high lacrosse IQ to Colorado as he competes in his 17th NLL campaign.

Originally selected by the San Jose Stealth during the 2006 NLL Entry Draft (first round, seventh overall), Dawson has compiled 94 points (27g, 67a), 864 loose balls, 124 caused turnovers and 584 penalty minutes in 247 regular season appearances. With several NLL Championships decorating his resume, the experienced defenseman has added nine points (3g, 6a), 69 loose balls, 12 caused turnovers and 10 penalty minutes in 24 playoff contests.

Drawing into the lineup for six games with Panther City Lacrosse Club during the 2022-23 season, Wade notched nine loose balls, one caused turnover, two blocked shots and nine penalty minutes last year during his fourth NLL campaign. In 22 career appearances, he's managed to produce one point (0g, 1a), 19 loose balls, seven caused turnovers, five blocked shots and 19 penalty minutes.

Adding one loose ball and one caused turnover in his lone playoff game played, the 29-year-old will enter his first training camp with the Mammoth this November as the team kicks off the season inside Foothills Fieldhouse.
