February 13, 2023 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release
The Colorado Mammoth today announced the organization has acquired a third-round draft selection in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft from the New York Riptide in exchange for forward Mike Burke.
In three appearances with Colorado during the 2022-23 NLL season, Burke recorded five points (0g, 5a) and 15 loose balls as the right side of the Mammoth's offensive unit continues to get healthy.
Burke initially spent two seasons with Colorado, recording 15 points (6g, 9a) and 15 loose balls in nine regular season appearances during the 2015 campaign, following it up the next season in 2016 with 19 points (8g, 11a) and 16 loose balls in 11 games played.
Colorado now holds a total of five picks in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft, including one selection in the second, third, fourth, fifth and six rounds.
The trade marks the first swap between the organizations since Colorado acquired forward Tyson Gibson from the Riptide in exchange for forward Tyler Digby, defenseman Ron John and a first-round selection in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft during the team's 2021-22 Championship campaign.
