DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that it has re-acquired former team captain Gavin Prout in a trade with the Edmonton Rush in exchange for forward Mike McLellan and a 1st-round draft pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft. On a busy trade deadline day, the Mammoth also completed a deal with the Washington Stealth that brings defenseman Ian Hawksbee, forward Joel Dalgarno, and a 3rd-round selection in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft to Colorado in exchange for forward Cliff Smith.

Prout, who spent the last one-plus seasons in Edmonton, is the Mammoth's all-time leading scorer and has 775 career points. The right-handed forward played in Colorado from 2004-2009 and led the team to the Champion's Cup in 2006.

"Gavin meant a lot to this organization for the six years that he was here," said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett. "We welcome back his tremendous leadership in the locker room and on the field."

Hawksbee, a six-year veteran, has recorded more than 120 loose balls in each of his last four seasons. Dalgarno, the seventh overall selection in the 2009 NLL Entry Draft, scored his first career goal on March 26, 2010 against the Mammoth. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2009 as the school's all-time leading scorer with 221 points.

"Ian and Joel are talented players who should have many great years ahead of them in the NLL," said Mammoth Head Coach Bob Hamley.

The Colorado Mammoth returns home to HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center next Saturday, March 26 at 7:00pm MDT to take on the Boston Blazers on Lacrosse Out Cancer Night. Tickets are on sale now and start at just $5 apiece upstairs and $20 a seat in the lower level.
