Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has announced that goalie Gee Nash has been placed on injured reserve.
A staple in the Colorado net since 2004, Nash has tallied 44 career wins with the Mammoth. The perennial All-Star, Nash has been fighting a nagging back injury since early in the season. "It's incredibly disappointing to lose someone of the caliber of Gee," Mammoth General Manager Steve Govett admitted. "But right now the focus needs to be on his health."
Replacing Nash on the Colorado roster is Curtis Palidwor, who was signed to a team contract on Monday. Entering his eighth season in the NLL, Palidwor appeared in 16 games for Edmonton in 2008, sporting a save percentage of .750. Last March, Palidwor was awarded NLL Player of the Month honors while with the Rush and was named team MVP the previous season after backstopping the team to five wins with a 10.48 goals against average and a .789 save percentage.
The Mammoth faces the New York Titans this Saturday at Pepsi Center.
