Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER – After standing for a decade, the National Lacrosse League's record for most sold out games in a season has fallen to the Colorado Mammoth.

Tonight's sellout at Pepsi Center is the Mammoth's fifth of the season, besting the Buffalo Bandits' four-game record set in 1994.

The Mammoth is also tops in league attendance this season, averaging 17,441 fans per game (excluding tonight's number), followed by the Toronto Rock's 16,271 and the Philadelphia Wings' 13,648. The league average is 9,653 (all numbers are through games of March 21).

"Nothing speaks louder than box office sales and our team can't thank the fans of Colorado enough," Colorado Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "Since our first game in Denver, we've seen fans respond to our sport and we're very grateful."

The Mammoth is in its second season in Colorado after relocating from Washington, DC.
