QUACK TRACKS
On the Road
The Mallards began a five-game road trip- their longest of the season- by splitting a pair of games in Denver last weekend. The Mallards scored two third period shorthanded goals and won an 11 round shootout last Friday before suffering their first ever loss to the expansion Cutthroats one night later.
Playoff Race
The Mallards are two points behind eighth place Bloomington in the race for the final CHL playoff spot and are three points behind seventh place Arizona. The Mallards have one game in hand on the Blaze and have played two fewer games than the Sundogs.
Home Cooking
With last Tuesday's loss to Rapid City, the Mallards finished a four-game homestand 1-2-1.

The Mallards missed out on a chance to move over .500 with last Tuesday's loss to Rapid City and again with last Saturday's defeat in Denver.
Give 'Em Hellyer
Mike Hellyer, whose five-game point-scoring streak (3-3-6) ended last Saturday, has taken over the league lead among rookies in point scoring (46) after piling up 24 points (10 goals and 14 assists) in his last 19 games.
Doubling Down
Anthony Perdicaro scored both Mallard shootout goals last Friday in Denver after scoring one of the Mallards' two game-tying shorthanded goals in the third period of that game. Mickey Lang scored the other shorthanded equalizer and assisted on Perdicaro's shorthanded strike.
Special Teams
The Mallards have failed to convert their last ten power plays and have gone 2-for-30 on the man advantage over their last seven games. The Mallards now rank ninth in the league on the power play (14.3 percent). The Mallards have killed off 25 of their opponents' last 27 power plays. They lead the league in shorthanded goals (10) and rank fourth in penalty killing (84.7 percent)
Leaders
Lang leads the league in shorthanded goals (5), is tied for the league lead in game winning goals (6), is tied for second in goals (28), ranks seventh in points (61) and is tied for fifth in power play goals (9). Bob Preece ranks fifth in plus/minus (+17) and Hellyer ranks sixth (+16). Among rookies, Hellyer is tied for the league lead in points (46), ranks second in assists (28) and ranks fifth in goals (18) while Mike Stinziani is tied for third in goals (19) and ranks fourth in points (38) and assists (19). Matt Duffy is tied for sixth among defensemen in assists (24), is tied for seventh in points (27) and, along with Preece, is tied for ninth in goals (6). John Murray ranks sixth in save percentage (.911) and Neil Conway is tied for tenth (.908).
Milestones
Jason Kostadine has played 499 career games...Duffy played his two hundredth career game last Tuesday against Rapid City...Terry Ruskowski has coached his teams to 397 CHL wins... Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon has played 95 career games.

The Mallards have gone 2-2-1 against Rapid City this season. The Mallards have gone 1-1-0 in Rapid City. All-time, the Mallards have gone 8-6-1 against Rapid City... The Mallards and Quad Cities YMCA will welcome youth sports participants to next Sunday's game. The first 1,000 fans ages 12 and under through the doors for that game will receive free Mallards youth jerseys.
Family Skate Day Presented by Genesis Health System
Next Sunday will also be the first of a series of Mallards Family Skate Days presented by Genesis Health System on three successive Sundays. Fans will have the chance to join all their favorite players on the ice immediately after the end of the Mallards' game on each of those days.
Post-Game Event: Rascals
Fans can join the Mallards after Sunday's game at a postgame event at Rascals. Rascals is located at 1414 15th Street in Moline.

A limited number of Mallards games will not air on Fox Sports Radio 1230 due to conflicts with University of Illinois basketball and football. Single Game Tickets
Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season contests are now available. Fans can contact the Mallards at (309) 277-1364 or tickets@myqcmallards.com for more information about both season and single game tickets. Single game tickets are also available at the i wireless Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period. Individual game tickets are available for $13 in the upper level, $18 in the lower level and $25 for the first row along the glass for adults. Tickets for kids 12 and under are available for $5 off adult rates.
Group Tickets
Groups of at least ten can receive savings off the walk-up price and a host of other great group benefits. Mallards group tickets are a great fit for youth organizations, friends, co-workers, family groups, religious groups, school functions and business events.
