Mallards Sign Forward Decroo

MOLINE, Ill. (March 17, 2010) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, today announced that the Mallards have signed left wing Nick DeCroo and that center Mike Zbriger has been placed on 30-day injured reserve. Per team policy no contract terms were announced.

DeCroo, 24, joins the Mallards after scoring four goals and adding two assists in ten games as a senior at Division III Hobart College this season. Over three seasons at Hobart after transferring from Bentley College, the Sarver, Pennsylvania, native scored 39 times and totaled 61 points in 67 games. The 6' 3", 200-pound DeCroo last season scored 20 goals and collected 29 points in 29 games to help Hobart to the second NCAA tournament bid in school history. DeCroo will wear jersey number 26 for the Mallards.

Zbriger missed the Mallards' last game- Sunday's shootout loss to Dayton- after suffering a finger injury. Zbriger has scored 17 goals and recorded 41 points in 61 games this season.

The Mallards host the Flint Generals tonight at 7:05 p.m. 12-ounce drafts will be available for just $2 at i wireless Center concession stands during tonight's game.
