Mallards Reloaded for 2005-06

The Mallards 2005-06 season is less than 80 days away! The 11th season of hockey in the Quad Cities will feature the tagline, "Mallards Hockey: RELOADED". The RELOADED theme centers around the new face of the franchise featuring team President Paul O'Dacre and the soon-to-be-named head coach. Keep checking qcmallards.com for more RELOADED information as the Mallards begin their second decade.

Coach Mac Joins Red Wings

Former Mallards head coach Paul MacLean joined the NHL's Detroit Red Wings this week as an assistant to Mike Babcock. MacLean has spent three years in the NHL as an assistant coach including time with the Phoenix Coyotes (1996-97) and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (2002-04). During his two seasons in the Quad Cities, MacLean went 112-27-9 and won a Colonial Cup. In 2000-01, MacLean's Mallards set a UHL record with just 12 regular season losses. The following season, the Mallards established a UHL record for regular season wins (57) with MacLean at the helm. Last season, MacLean served as a special assistant to the Mallards organization during the NHL Lockout.

A Message from Team President Paul O'Dacre

Since being hired by the Mallards I have been working on hiring a coach, which we will announce this week, and putting the final pieces together of an efficient and energetic office staff designed to immerse themselves in the community and create a closer working relationship with fans and friends of the Mallards.

I would welcome any feedback from fans who may want to share opinions or ideas with me from time to time. I am open and available to suggestions. Email me at: podacre@qcmallards.com.
